Plan your Disneyland visit with our ultimate guide to what to wear to Disneyland in November- clothes, accessories, special events to consider, weather, and more!
Ultimate Guide: What to Wear to Disneyland in November
Are you thinking about heading to Disneyland in November? I fully support that decision—it’s a fabulous time to visit. You’ll find a mix of holiday cheer, comfortable fall weather, and fewer crowds (sometimes). I say sometimes because if you go on Thanksgiving week, that will be very busy, and Disneyland doesn’t always have predictable “slow” times like it has in the past.
Understanding what to wear to Disneyland in December is important so that you’re comfy from dawn to dusk, including the colder nights. We’ll guide you through choosing the perfect Disneyland outfits, considering the changing weather and events like Thanksgiving.
Anaheim sees highs near 75ºF in November and lows in the 50s,so you will need layers. You could wear Disney-inspired t-shirts and jackets paired with leggings or jeans. A cute Disney bounding jumpsuit blended with the right accessories could be perfect, too!
For footwear, opt for comfy and cute sneakers—see our favorites below! A light jacket or cute cardigan, spare socks, and a rain poncho are must-haves, too. You’re not as likely to encounter unpredictable rain on your Disneyland visit as you are at Walt Disney World, but being prepared never hurts!

Understanding Southern California Weather in November
In November, Anaheim, the home of Disneyland, undergoes a lovely weather change. The average temperatures reach about 76°F (24°C) by day, dropping to 52°F (11°C) at night. I love fall nights at Disneyland!
Morning and Evening Chill
In November, early mornings and evenings can feel brisk, with temperatures starting cool before warming up throughout the day. Carrying a sweater or jacket for the chilly mornings is helpful. Pairing holiday cheer with this perfect weather makes Disneyland even more magical in November. The park enjoys lovely sunny days, but cooling off at night is welcome and makes it feel like fall!
Layering at Disneyland in November
Traveling to Disneyland in early November calls for layering. Anaheim’s weather can be quite unpredictable, with daytime highs around 75ºF and night lows dipping into the 50s. It’s important to be ready for these shifts. Wearing layers keeps you comfy from the brisk mornings through the hotter parts of the day and into the cooler evenings.
Recommended Layers
When you pack for Disneyland, make sure to include a good base layer like one of these tees with breathable fabric, or a tank top as a base layer.
Super soft cotton, breathable fabric with a cute, magical design!
Cotton blend tank great for layering and made with eco-friendly ink; with an adorable Mickey confetti design and available in multiple colors!
Add a hoodie, cardigan, light jacket, or sweatshirt for warmth. A denim jacket could also be a good option for Disneyland in November.
If you want options, here’s a great lineup to pack:

- Lightweight tees and tank tops
- Comfy hoodies or sweatshirts
- Oversized denim jackets
- Chunky cardigans
- Leggings or joggers (check out this polka dot pair, comfy jeans, and/or jumpsuits)
Love these flex joggers that come in so many colors and patterns!
With these suggested layers, any sudden change in weather at Disneyland won’t catch you off guard.
Comfortable Footwear for Disneyland in November
Choosing the right shoes for Disneyland is key. As seasoned visitors, we’ve honed in on our top favorite kind of shoes to get you through a long park day.
Best Shoes for Walking
Finding the perfect shoes for walking at Disneyland can make a magical day even better!
A high quality pair of sneakers like APL sneakers are some of our top picks, combining comfort, durability, and breathability. I also appreciate a good pair of Adidas Sneakers– both for long Disneyland days or runDisney runs (and here are 5 of our top runDisney running shoes picks).
APL sneakers are a solid and quality sneaker for long Disney park days- and they come in so many colors!!
For prolonged walking, or on a very sunny or a light rainy day podiatrist-recommended OluKai flip flops work really well at the parks.Pair them with leggings and a basic tee, and chunky cardigan on cooler days, for a winning Disneyland look.
Managing Rainy Days with good park footwear!
With Anaheim’s occasional rain, waterproof shoes are a great thing to pack just in case. Brands like Crocs, Oofos, and OluKai provide stylish and comfortable options. I always pack flip flops for any Disney World trip, they may not be needed at Disneyland in November but could come in handy on a hot day in the fall.
I know classic Crocs can be divisive, but they make some really cute Disney-themed designs, as well as super comfy flip-flops and sandals—and all of them are rain-friendly!
You could also consider a “walking sandal” like those made by Keen, Reef, or Tevas.
What to Wear to Disneyland in November
Ok so now you have some ideas for your fall Disney vacation. Let’s throw in some other Disney bounding fall-themed and special event ideas and then put our complete list together.
Special Events and Themed Outfit Ideas
November brings some special events and holiday-themed days and nights at Disneyland, including:
Dapper Days
Dapper Day is a day marked on many Disneyland visitors’ calendars. It’s a day to show off your best vintage-inspired look, usually with some classic Disneyland flare.
Participants dive into the past, reflecting Disneyland’s early days. This means outfits boasting fedoras, high-waisted pants, and elegant dresses. So, if you’re planning on traveling to Disneyland for Dapper Days you may need an extra suitcase- those vintage clothes can take up lots of space!
Perfect Dappery Day dress- and it comes in multiple patterns and colors!
Holiday Season Outfits
When the holiday season kicks off, Disneyland gets even more magical- I know it’s hard to imagine, right? Your clothing can join in on the fun, too.
You could pack an “ugly sweater” Disney style or go with a Nightmare Before Christmas twist to celebrate the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday (where the Haunted Mansion gets a Nightmare Before Christmas takeover).
Or, to add some festiveness to your outfit, throw in some holiday-themed Minnie ears, a holiday Loungefly, or a holiday bag. Amazon has some awesome Disney holiday Loungefly mini backpacks like this snowglobe one pictured here, but also the most adorable Carl and Ellie from Up themed holiday lights mini backpack!
Dressing for Day and Night
If you need some Disneyland attire that can transition from day into night for perhaps a dinner at Carthay Circle, Napa Rose or Blue Bayou, then check out these ideas:
- Layering a casual shift dress and adding a jacket or boxy blazer for cooler evenings.
- Pairing a cute tank style jumpsuit with a denim jacket
- Choosing soft leggings or comfy jeans with a soft cardigan can transition effortlessly into the night.
But Disneyland and California Adventure are still theme parks, so casual attire (to a certain degree) is always acceptable!
Mickey Ears and Other Accessories
Iconic Mickey ears or charming Minnie ears headbands are popular Disneyland accessory trends and can add fall flare to your Disneyland outfit.
There are lots of pumpkin, fall and Holiday Minnie Ears available at the Disney Store online or via many creative sellers on Etsy. You can also buy some at any of the shops at Disneyland, Downtown Disney, or Disney California Adventure. Even Amazon has some fun options
