Need some coffee on your Disney World trip and wondering- Is there a Starbucks in Hollywood Studios?
Looking for your coffee fix while checking out Disney’s Hollywood Studios? You’ll be delighted to know that there is indeed a Starbucks in Hollywood Studios, and in all of the Walt Disney World Resort Parks too.
This post explores the question: Is there a Starbucks in Hollywood Studios…. and other Disney World Starbucks locations and Coffee shop or kiosk options.
The Trolley Car Café: Your Starbucks Destination
The Trolley Car Café, is the home of Starbucks in Hollywood Studios. This designated Starbucks location is themed to resemble a classic trolley car station, fitting into the ambiance of early 20th-century Hollywood for which the main hub of the park is themed.
At the Trolley Car Cafe Starbucks, you can order a wide variety of your favorite Starbucks drinks. Everything from frappucinos to lattes, to refreshers are all here. And to complement your favorite Starbucks drink, the café also offers a delightful selection of Disney baked goods and pastries.
What sets the Starbucks experience in Hollywood Studios apart is its themed setting. The Trolley Car Café is designed to resemble a classic trolley car station from the golden age of Hollywood, which fits right into its location on Hollywood Boulevard. The café is filled with nostalgic decor, including vintage travel posters and Hollywood memorabilia- not like your average neighborhood Starbucks at home.
So, is there a downside? Yes, all of the Starbucks locations at the Disney Parks can have incredibly long lines. During rope drop mornings your wait for your latte might be as long as your wait for the Millennium Falcon or Toy Story Mania!
Exclusive Treats and Merchandise at Hollywood Studios Starbucks
In addition to the wide range of Starbucks beverages and baked goods, the Trolley Car Café in Hollywood Studios offers exclusive treats and merchandise for guests to enjoy.
One of the most popular exclusive treats at the Trolley Car Café is the Darth Vader Cupcake. This delicious chocolate-peanut butter cupcake is a must-try for Star Wars enthusiasts!
You can also find freshly baked Mickey-shaped cookies and enjoy a delicious chocolate croissant alongside your Starbucks brew. There are Disney pastries that are seasonal too, as well as the Hollywood Studio’s signature Carrot Cake Cookie. They also have breakfast sandwiches if you need something a little hardier for a long day at the Disney Parks.
Not only does the Trolley Car Café offer exclusive treats, but it also sells a variety of Disney-themed Starbucks merchandise. Guests can bring home a piece of Hollywood Studios with an exclusive Hollywood Studios Starbucks Mug, featuring the park’s iconic attractions. Other Disney and Starbucks coffee tumblers and Disney mugs are also available for purchase.
Convenience and Magic: Paying with Disney MagicBand, Disney Gift Cards, and Starbucks App
When visiting the Trolley Car Café in Hollywood Studios, guests have the convenience of using their Disney MagicBand, Starbucks App, Disney Gift Cards, or even Starbucks Gift Cards to pay for their order. Guests can also use their Disney Dining Plan (this starts again in January of 2024) to pay for snacks and drinks here. A treat or Disney pastry will cost you one snack credit, usually.
What you can’t do at the Trolley Car Cafe or any Disney Park Starbucks location is use your Starbucks Reward points or mobile ordering. You have to queue up the old-fashioned way here- thus the long lines.
This location also offers Disney Vacation Club discounts!
Starbucks Locations in other Disney World Parks
Starbucks has made its mark in all four Disney World parks, so keep reading to see where you can get your Starbucks fix on your next Disney vacation. Additionally, there are two Starbucks stores located in Disney Springs, and you can mobile order at these locations.
Let’s explore the Starbucks locations in each park:
Magic Kingdom
In the iconic Main Street Bakery, guests can find a Starbucks location that blends the charm of Disney’s Main Street USA with your favorite Starbucks treats. You can hit up this Starbucks location as you walk into Magic Kingdom to start your day, but be warned, the long lines here in the mornings can be epic! If you are in a rush you may want to stop by a Joffrey’s coffee kiosk (see below) and save your Starbucks fix for later.
Epcot
Located in the relatively new Connections Eatery, near the iconic Spaceship Earth, you will find the Epcot Starbucks location. You can find Connections Cafe and Eatery inside the World Showcase (World Discovery) section of Epcot. This cafe also has some incredible food and of course unique treats and pastry items, and you can use your Disney Dining Plan here as you can at most of the locations in this post.
Epcot just recently unveiled the new World Celebration Garden, just outside Connections Cafe, offering more seating for you to enjoy your Starbucks drink and treats!
Animal Kingdom
At Creature Comforts, Starbucks has found its home within the heart of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This well-themed location provides guests with the perfect blend of the natural beauty of the park and the comforting familiarity of Starbucks.
Creature Comforts is located on Discovery Island, next to Tiffins restaurant and Nomad Lounge. Since it’s not at the front of the park it doesn’t get quite as crowded as some of the other Disney Parks Starbucks locations.
Disney Springs Locations
Disney Springs offers two Starbucks stores to choose from, located on the West Side or in the Marketplace. These locations aren’t quite as crowded either and remember you can mobile order here vs the Starbucks Disney Parks locations.
These Starbucks locations in the various Disney World parks and Disney Springs provide guests with the same menu options and payment methods as the Trolley Car Café in Hollywood Studios. So, whether you’re craving a familiar favorite or looking to try something new, Starbucks is never too far away at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Joffrey’s Coffee in Walt Disney World
While Starbucks is the prominent coffee brand everyone knows from home, Joffrey’s Coffee also has a presence in the Walt Disney World parks.
Joffrey’s kiosks can be found throughout the various Disney World parks, offering a variety of specialty coffees, iced beverages, and snacks. In Hollywood Studios they have a location at the end of Sunset Boulevard by the iconic Tower of Terror, or at Pixar Place. Sometimes the Sunset Boulevard location can get a longer line but the Pixar Place location is generally pretty easy to walk up and order your favorite coffee drink.
Since these are kiosks they don’t have quite the variety of specialty coffees as Starbucks but they do offer hot coffee, cold brew & nitro, frozen coffee, espresso drinks, and even spiked coffee drinks. I usually opt for a Joffrey’s location as I don’t want to wait in a long line for coffee- every second counts on a Disney vacation and I can get Starbucks on every corner at home!
Of course, Walt Disney World has other locations to get good coffee as well. They don’t necessarily have specific coffee shop locations but any quick service restaurant should have coffee. Just ask a cast member and they can point you in the right direction.
Conclusion
Whether you’re in need of a caffeine boost to start your day or craving a delicious Starbucks treat, the Trolley Car Café has you covered. The theming of the cafe fits perfectly into Disney’s Hollywood Studios vibe and it’s conveniently located on Hollywood Boulevard as you enter the park,
When planning your visit, consider the best times to enjoy Starbucks in the park, avoiding peak times to minimize wait times and maximize your time. Walt Disney World resort has so many Starbucks locations so don’t worry- you can get your Starbucks fix on your Disney vacation!
